How in the world could a leftist write this with no sense of irony? The current left has absolutely nothing except ginned-up, false outrage and slander. Nothing else.
All they do is throw tantrums and stir up the hatred and closed-mindedness of their followers. Facts, fairness, and rational, open debate have been shunned on the left since someone they emotionally really don’t like won the election.
They are just SO bummed that Hillary lost, they can’t get rid of Trump, and SCOTUS keeps ruling in favor of Trump and the Constitution. All bets are off with them...the Constitution, Free Speech for anyone but liberals...they don’t care what they have to wreck, in order to show their impotent RAGE. And their tantrums are as ineffective as a toddler’s are, in the presence of a wise, firm parent, who has no intention of letting them have their way. And like that toddler, they’re reduced to holding their blankies, sucking their thumbs, and hiccoughing themselves to sleep.

Actually, I have been wondering if being allowed to continue verbally abusing a person in a private commercial establishment, say a restaurant or movie theater to use to recent examples, doesn’t create a tort against the owner of the establishment.
After all, it is a private, commercial venue, not the public “commons,” and you pay for the service received. Does this payment not create the expectation of the right to eat your meal or watch the movie in peace? If, after asking the management to restore order, it fails to do so or actually encourages the disturbing behavior, do you not have a basis for a claim for damage?
A few strategic lawsuits might work against these sympathetic venues might work wonders for restoring civility.
