If you go to the link, the question was of the opinion of the respondent whether it should be.

Anyone Bloomberg hypes is automatically suspect. Besides, she’d make four women on the court. If Ginsburg, Kagan, or Sotomayor are replaced then maybe, maybe, Trump will appoint a female. But not now.

If gender is a factor at all in a decision to choose a judge, then one must move on from that choice.

Should everyone have considered slavery legal because of a flawed SC decision?

The Justices are not gods in black robes and do get it wrong sometimes. Plenty on both sides of the aisle say that the RvW decision was flawed judicial activism. As was the Lawrence v Texas decision.

If homosexuality is about the actions of consenting adults in private why are we having tales of two daddies and boys who want to be princesses pushed down the throats of kindergartners?

Why do we now have tranny officers in the military?

Why do we have businesses closed because of cakes, flowers, and photography jobs?

The GOP could end abortion tomorrow if it was simply honest about the issue:

1. Abortion is a tool to control the minority population in the U.S.

2. This has been part of the Planned Parenthood agenda for decades.

3. The predominately white, male Republican Party has continued to fund Planned Parenthood in Congress despite endless campaign promises to eliminate this funding.

4. Therefore, the GOP is filled with a bunch of liars who hate minorities.

Get that message out there and see how Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer respond.

This is not going to be a popular thing to say here, but abortion is considered by 79% of the country to be legal. If Trump appoints a judge who overturns that decision the GOP will lose, the Democrats will win decisively, and the limits currently on abortion will be lost, quickly.

...

Your link says pro-life and “pro-choice” (should be pro-abortion) are evenly split. And only 29% think abortion should be legal in all circumstances.

I’ve been told that even in Europe abortion laws are not as liberal as in the US. Ireland is only now getting it. Other countries don’t permit abortion up to the moment of birth as in the US.

Then again, the EUSSR is trying to force all European nations to finally approve of same sex marriage by making them all recognize the same sex marriages obtained in other countries.

We are told that we are the slowest nation on these Leftist reforms but the US is largely the vanguard.

Amy has 7 kids - she’s got the experience others on the court don’t

Is she another "wise latina" too? (/sarcasm)

As a parent? Surely the court has parents.

Already the court has a significant over-representation of Catholics.

And has taken an oath as a “handmaid” (now “woman leader”)?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/28/us/amy-coney-barrett-nominee-religion.html

Way too cultish for my taste, and not likely to win a majority of female support that way.

There are a lot of people who identify as pro-life who believe that abortion should be limited. There are only 18% who believe it should always be illegal.

Wow, a non-homosexual women who believes in family. What will the Democrats do?

I'm going to say something that'll likely be very unpopular: Are people seriously asking for Amy Coney Barrett to be appointed because she's a woman and it'll make Democrat heads explode?

Is that really all it takes anymore?

That's as bad as the identity politics the Democrats and their willing whores in the lying media.

I want someone who's QUALIFIED, I don't care what their race or genetically determined sex is. I want them to be a strict constructionist in the spirit of Antonin Scalia. If that's her, great however I really don't want the Republican Party to get tied up in the same identity politics game that the Democrats play. I really don't. They start that shit, they lose me - a fiscal and social Conservative who proudly cast his first vote for Ronald Wilson Reagan and voted for President Donald J. Trump in 2016.

I remember Reagan and others portrayed ending Roe v Wade as ending abortion on demand.

“Let’s not go down the path of relitigating abortion. Republicans will lose and have lost that one.”

Her reply should be simple. It’s settled law. Next question.

I think she’s the right choice. She lives and breathes constitutional law, and has since starting law school. She’s the one.
