That action could include encouraging others not to vote for trump, like mike lee did. And cruz did.

In primaries, or in the general?

General. Or at the the convention, after all the primaries were done, like they did.

I pushed for my candidate when he lost I got behind the nominee. Unlike you, I have moved on in solidarity with the winner.

Perhaps you should get over the primaries as not everybody supported Trump in the beginning but came around in the end which is ALL that counts.

Your embracing of vindictive animosity toward anyone that didn’t wholeheartedly support Trump from day one does the common cause a disservice

Cruz is fine as a senator, but that’s as far as it goes. The President should not even acknowledge Lee

I’m in solidarity with the winner too.

I also did NOT support Trump in the beginning.

I am not embracing vindictive animosity toward anyone that didn’t wholeheartedly support Trump from day one, just you, because I remember you in particular.

But actually, I don’t really have any animosity towards you, I really don’t. I’ve just been enjoying verbally sparring with you for kicks, so for that I do apologize to you. I get where you’re coming from. I don’t have any animosity towards Cruz either, I think he’s done pretty well since the election.

But supporting Lee for SCOTUS is stupid, IMO, for the reasons I listed in a previous post.

The dude was really shady prior to the election. His behavior was eye opening for me, because I used to like him, but now I do not. I like Cruz more than Lee TBH.

Personally, I think it’s wisest to put someone on the court who has a detailed record of Originalist decisions. The court has entirely too much power to take chances.

You are correct that anyone opposed Trump in the General in deference to Hillary was a piece of excrement. I just can’t stand any criticism of Trump (there’s enough to go around) being characterized as “NeverTrump.” He is not beyond criticism.

Just for laughs, Trump should announce he is adding Merrick Garland to his list of candidates. And then promptly pick a conservative instead. Libs would think they had a chance, and Trump could yank the rug while they were walking on it.

Would be a hoot to watch the Liberal implosion.

James Woods would be great at it.

True. Unfortunately, I am told that my choice, Senator Blutarski, could not be confirmed by the Senate.

The only reason to put up a Mormon neverTrumper would be to get him out of the senate. But he’d just be replaced by another loyal Mormon neverTrumper.

No more Mormon liberals.

I once met Cruz and shook his hand.

He is the strangest person I have ever met.

Mormons were super solid conservatives 40 years ago. Today they seem like naive money grubbers that have bought into some kind of prosperity Christianity done Mormon style. At least Utah voted for Trump.

Mike Lee is a flake in the vein of Jeff Flake. Libertarian, Mormon, open borders and nuts.

How could they possibly consider him at all, much less “best choice”?

Being a conservative and a Trump supporter are NOT mutually exclusive, the other way around. Trump is doing many things that conservatives support.

We need a conservative on the bench. Trump has done well with his last selection and I am sure he will pick a good person this time.

“Do you want a conservative or a trump fan on the bench?”

How about both?

Most of FR is just kneejerk comments without a lot of thought. There are some left who are thoughtful. Most have been chased away.

He said he didn't want it Ted.

Turned it down before it was offered.

I am in favor of respecting his wishes.
