I will choose to believe that that might be the case. If it was so, they couldn’t let the world know anyway without having Amnesty Int’l etc down their throats, and this monster got away with a much easier death than he deserved.

Exactly. A guy like this needed to suffer - a lot. And right before his death, he’d be told that he was going to be slathered in pig lard and dumped out in a field where jackals and insects would consume what was left of him.

I have mixed feelings on this.
With Osama bin Laden, I was happy the Seals proceeded to execute a wounded bin Laden with shots to the head rather than take him alive.
On the other hand, it would have been better if they had poured gasoline on him and set him on fire.
