If it’s Barrett, it won’t likely be Barrett, because of Collins and Murky! Maybe Barrett can be confirmed for RBG’s seat provided that the Pubbies manage to gain a couple of seats in the Senate in November. Don’t get me wrong, I like Barrett for the same reasons that you do, but right now, she’s a bridge too far for confirmation. Sometimes winning has to be taken in smaller chunks. We need a 5-4 SCOTUS again right now what with all the nutball Appellate Courts we have.

I generally think the approach is wrong. Take someone older who is solidly originalist. 30_40 years should not be the goal.. 10-15 years of solid originalism is far more important and that should be the main goal. Focusing on youth is really short sighted
