I am sure the minivan driver’s insurance will cover it and he has sufficient limits.
“Apparently you didnt read the article.”
I read the article. Apparently you didn’t comprehend my post.
Lambo Huracan. Rear engine with air vents to the engine on the side. Wouldn’t take much gasoline spray in those vents. Fortunately, the two guys who had been in the car had gone into the c-store.
Since it seems to belong to a dealer of used exotics and collector cars (”Exotic Motors Midwest’), at least it wasn’t new.
“I dont believe that.”
Whatever.

“Except there was no beef to a Pinto, so a rear end strike would breach the neck and generate sparks. The Vega and Gremlin had side filler necks I believe (I know the Vega did).”
Pinto had best safety record in class unless you are a follower of ralph.
I was just wondering about the cost of insurance on such a car. Between his insurance, the station’s insurance and the van’s insurance (if they can track it down) the car should be replaced. Probably cost around 200 to 300,000.
I hate to see a thing of beauty destroyed by stupidity.
Well, Ralph did have a way of highlighting the spectacular. But getting rear ended is hardly the only hazard a Pinto, or any car, had to deal with.
That thing sure got roasted down to a hulk that one would be lucky to salvage $100 worth of parts from now.
That’s good to know. I usually have a jug of it in the back of the cargo van.
Loudmouth blowhard pissed off Walter White.
29 fires over several years when there are almost 200,000 vehicle fires a year.
I had a 74 Pinto.
The Gas tanks were mounted behind the rear axles instead of in front, so a rear end hit would shove the gas tank into the differential bolts puncturing it.............
Terrible design — did any aftermarket tanks attempt to get around the problem?
“Liberal scam”
Interesting all the liberal sites you linked ...
Hot?
That is extreme maintenance nullifying the hotness
To all that can't take a little poke
No, it was already being discontinued by the time the gas tank problems came up.
There was a shield you could by and install that would help to prevent a puncture, but that was all.................
