Methinks this is a Deep State A.I. test-run or war-game. What else would the NSA be using all of our voice recordings for, but something like this? They can already do this, live, with video. Audio is much easier.

The technology to use a “video image” of a person but have this image of the person speak the words and use the gestures you want them to use, live and in real time, has been available for decades.

To fake someone’s real voice, in this day and age of Siri/Alexa etc., is not that hard.
It’s not far fetched to think that all the intel put into this Hollywood con game came from a Deep State source, not some tiddly wink 3rd World Nigerian scammer.
There wasn’t enough money involved to pay for all the intel it took to do this con... that’s why I question who is actually “running” this con operation.

But there is something weirder about all this than meets the eye (or ear).
The article is a bit long-in-the-tooth and muddles the details. The mark would be required to pay up front for expenses to cover (for example) drivers to be on site, or rooms/sites to rent for the projected project, or even extra personnel to be there on site. HOWEVER, instead of himself paying directly to whatever person or facility is mentioned, he/she would be advised to pay someone who would show up and pick up the money. The mark was told the person picking up the money would then continue on to make all the details come together. Not an uncommon action, actually, in most lines of production. The mark however didn’t know this was a scam start to finish, with the finish being only when the mark has been drained of all the mark is willing to cough up. Hope my explanation makes sense.
