Paladins are a hoot! The ammunition is in tow, but it’s well choreographed.

Good evening, radu...we got just under a 1/2 inch of real RAIN overnight. Maybe some more over the weekend.

How about you? Any improvement in the heat?

Howdy, Kathy.

WOOHOO! Real rain for y’all! ‘Bout time! I wish it would do that every day for several days to catch you up.

No improvement on the heat in store for us for a while. It’s just going to get hotter each day through the weekend with only small chances for any rain.
We might “cool” off to upper 80s next week.

Oh boy.....I’m not sure I could handle that heat if I moved south some day. People keep asking where I would go if I left Alaska. I don’t know. My sister is in California, as are her kids and grandkids...NO WAY!! Brother and Ashlie are in the Houston area of Texas...too much humidity? Not Georgia. Virginia, maybe? Or just stay here. d:o)

I have no clue what the humidity is like around the Houston area. It might be more humid than the western, desert part of the state but it would probably feel dry to those of us who live in the southeast. Still pretty hot, though, especially to folks who have lived up north for years like you have.

This area’s pretty tough on those of us who have lived here for years. Really tough for northerners who come down. When Ms. Feather visited us several years ago, she had a tough time if we went outside for any length of time. Heck, I do and I was born here! LOL!

It can get a little warm in Virginia as I recall. I spent a summer there back in the early ‘70s, at Norfolk. it wasn’t as hot there as here but still hotter than the 70s you’ve had recently. But that’s what A/C is for. :-)

A neighbor kid (Seattle area) said he was moving down to Georgia to be with his girlfriend that moved down there for work and then college. Other neighbors told him to forget it - you won’t last down there between the heat and humidity.

He lasted about two weeks! He’s back here home again. I have no idea how the relationship is going. But I’m guessing probably not well. “I love you soooo much. But it really is hot and humid here. So, uhm, well....”

It’s definitely hotter in GA than it is here and here (TN) is bad enough. No way I could stand living any farther south. Tried it several years ago and said NOPE! I don’t know how Kathy’s brother manages it when he’s home from the slope. Southern GA is really hot and muggy.

The neighbor kid did pretty darn well dealing with it for two weeks. More than likely he’s got an eye out for a new girlfriend in Seattle. :-)

LOL! I suspect the relationship isn’t going too well either.

I think the humidity would be a killer.
