what are the regulations in regard to this incident. All kinds of recruiting goes on on campuses and some is deceptive. Doesn’t seem simple.

It’s not illegal to be a foreign agent, to lobby and to advocate. But you have to disclose your handlers.
Foreign citizens think that because we have a fairly open society, free speech, that they can show up and join the parade any way they want.

Normal situations as an explanation in the Foreign agents registration act would be an administration to issue a letter telling her to register. Not enough information to determine this was done or ignored by her.
I now read that she was in a relationship with an influential 53 year old “Person 1”, who believed it to be a committed and affection based while unknown to him she traded sex for favors from several other influential members.
How dumb can this influential “Person 1” be and what where these other ones thinking!
