No doubt this professor will be savaged on Twitter and Facebook. If he is not tenured, his job will be at risk.
He will probably be doxed and later paid an unplanned visit by the local Antifa. I admire this professor for taking the risk and saying what needs to be said by millions of others.
I think Big College is the next bubble to burst.
One of mine is returning to complete her degree. Online at a college broker. They are setting up her curriculum with classes from several schools. The cost is minimal, around $3000 a semester or maybe thats a year.
Another just graduated as an Astronautical Engineer from a small specialized geek school.
Got hired after his first interview working at NASA.
Ditto what you said, no doubt whatsoever they will destroy him. What I think would be effective as well is if new High school grads boycotted them for a year or two before rushing right in as College freshmen. If these students are beyond hope and their minds are already poisoned by indoctrination then at least boycott these universities for the tuition price gouging
I am a professor and this essay is correct.
SOOOOO—, Professor:
Are you part of the problem ?
or are you part of the solution after years ?????
I am a Professor, too. I like the cut of his Jib.
..If he is not tenured, his job will be at risk..
Even if tenured, he will be railroaded in some way to be fired.
If democrats can’t silence the opposition, then the next step is to destroy them.
This means anyone from the average Joe American to the President himself.
I am in total agreement with this, however, it will never happen, sadly enough.
Closing colleges would create a nation of people wandering in the wilderness. I’m all for it.
University Liberals launched their own version of Mao’s Cultural Revolution. It has now culminated with lack of free speech, groups such as ANTIF, BLM, and OWS. All in an effort to destroy our Republic, destroy our Constitution, and bring about a dictatorship of a Socialist Intelligentsia.
Colleges are communist enclaves.I dont want my money taken for that anymore that non union people want there money tearing their free speech from their mouths. The Supreme Court has spoken. That is unconstitutional and I want my money withdrawn!!NOW!!
He has it right - today’s universities are mostly beyond reform. They can only be replaced and hopefully will be.
“...they deride reason as a Eurocentric creation...”
Yet the EU is among the least democratic governments installed to rule over peeps.
Many of us here in Freeperville have been saying this for years. I hope his words carry some weight and spreads like wildfire.
“Closing colleges would create a nation of people wandering in the wilderness. Im all for it.”
Closing colleges might create an entrepreneurial revolution, driving economic growth for decades. I offer as an example my 38 year old neighbor. At 18 he went to work for a carpenter and learned a trade. At 21 he bought his first home, a fixer upper he and his wife worked on at night and then flipped immediately. With the proceeds he bought another home to flip. Today, 20 years later, he owns 50 rental homes, three strip shopping centers and is breaking ground on his first housing development. Meanwhile, he and his wife have from 5-10 houses being renovated to flip using full time crews that work for his company.
He is not well spoken in the Ivy League sense. He and his wife are raising three adorable well mannered children. He is one of the smartest business people I’ve ever met, yet would probably not be able to get an appointment with a Goldman Sachs Harvard educated banker. However, he doesn’t need a banker because he funds his operations completely out of cash flow he creates.
Terminate the university systems and make the youth of American develop street smarts, learn the value of labor, and hustle. It is the only way to produce a new generation of Henry Fords, J.D. Rockefeller’s, and Thomas Edison’s. The school of hard knocks will teach more in a week than Harvard will in a year.
No doubt he will be next on the #Metoo chopping block.
The author, Jason D. Hill, is black. I dont know if that will protect him from or exacerbate the coming liberal vitriol.
Yep, Big Brick College is an anachronism.
The Feynman lectures on Physics are still relevant.
Jordan Peterson’s class lectures are very instructive.
