Why didn’t he call for gun control before the shooting? If more gun control would’ve saved lives then it seems he’s guilty of man slaughter. Arrest him and lock him up, he is responsible for the loss of life.

Information on the shooter and the source of his gun needs to be known and disclosed first.

Do you know what is required from a law-abiding citizen in Canada to acquire ammunition, let alone possess a firearm?
#1 No criminal record
#2 Successful completion of a firearms handling course
#3 Purchase of a “Possession and Acquisition licence” (PAL) that must be renewed every 5 years.
#4 If a sidearm is desired, a second level firearms handling course plus membership in a firing range/club.
#5 In order to carry said sidearm to and from the range, a permit must be acquired from the provincial/territorial firearms officer.
How many of these rules were broken by the Toronto gunman, and how will more laws (that ONLY affect the law-abiding) alter the behaviour of those who do not obey the law?
You know, it’s as predictable as the second-hand on a wall clock.
Never look at the shooter, who in this case looked AWFULLY ‘swarthy’ — kinda like a Muslim! — but instead, look uselessly at the object de-jeur to ban. Ignore the fact that in countries with such gun control, the Muslims merely use bombs, cars, buses, and even smuggled military-grade firearms.
Hell, some countries now have a GRENADE problem.

Yes one CAN. See my #27. You CAN own firearms, but there are hoops to jump through. In fact, many Americans come up here with their long guns to go hunting. As long as they follow the rules, there is no issue with bringing them across the border, which is considerably easier coming North than travelling South over the 49th.

"At its news conference following the police update, the SIU did not reveal the alleged gunman's name but said an autopsy will be performed on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. ET.
Monica Hudon, spokesperson for the SIU, said the agency is still trying to confirm the man's identity. He was from Toronto. She said that according to policy, the SIU needs permission from the family to release the man's name but there are "exceptional circumstances."
