Hmmm....Are the security clearances as rigorous as what “O” used to OK Valerie Jarrett ?

Shiff should know that clearances are not lifetime awards. If he spent anytime in the military he should know that. Shiff? In the Military? Naaah, I doubt it in any form. He’s using his posterior to speak. Besides, the people let go were political appointments, and their service is no longer required. Its like a new Sheriff removing deputies who won’t obey him and telling them they can’t arrest anyone. Whatever Trump does, it done to clean up the integrity of the Government. Good luck with that. Too bad he can’t clean out some of the Congress Critters who do nothing but speak Shiff.

They should have their security clearances pulled.....especially when they go to work for news agencies or political parties.

It's too easy to call up old buddies and say "Long time, no see, what's going on?", and get the skinny, because "the government" says they are still "one of them" and they have clearance.

Actually what you see in authoritarian regimes is business people of religious conviction being forced by government to participate in the celebration of unions that violate their conscience.

Schiff looks like that creepy neighbor you want to keep your family away from.

Any president can overrule security clearance requirements for those who work for him, as long as he’s willing to take the political heat. Security clearances are under control of the Executive Branch.

Constitutional offices (President, Supreme Court, Congress, etc.) are exempt from security clearance requirements, although they do establish their own rules.

Well, I’ve lived in Saudi Arabia and I was in the Philippines during the Marcos regime.

I have never, ever seen or heard of an “authoritarian regime” working diligently to ensure that its citizenry is armed.

Some rants go beyond “fake news” and become “laughable stupidity.”

I had a Secret clearance when I was commissioned a 2LT, then I had to have a TS to be in MACVSOG, then I was in a unit with a nuke capability so I needed a TSN. When I left the Army- I left my security clearance there. These clowns of Obama’s are not active now. They should lose their clearance the day they retire and/or leave their federal job.

No, you bug-eyed freak.

Authoritarian regimes detain opponents, prosecute them for subversion, or kill them... and their families.

Normal regimes revoke security clearances.

Another thing you see in authoritarian regimes is forced participation in a financially-ruinous program (such as Obamacare).

While in the Army (many,*many* years ago) it was clearly made known to me that to have access to a particular piece of classified data you had to have the proper level of clearance (Confidential,Secret, etc) *and* you had to have the NEED TO KNOW.

Given that these traitorous pigs no longer have the need to know *anything* why,in God's name,do they still have clearances?

The more scum like Schniff cry about this, the more obvious it is that the coup-plotters derive major benefits from continuing their clearances. I propose that Trump issue an EO today, to “suspend” these clearances pending review of their past trustworthiness and why the USA needs for them to have clearances.

And gun control, and government agencies, say like the IRS doing political work, and government law agencies becoming politically corrupt, like say the FBI, CIA and DOJ.

Having had a security clearance (TSN? Meaning "Top Secret Nuclear" perhaps?) perhaps you'd educate those of us who never did on the subject of “need to know”.

Kinda doubt Trump seeks advice from the clowns who ran up a 20 trillion dollar debt. Perhaps maybe to discover what would be the worse possible financial decision.

I’m pretty sure my clearances were revoked after I retired from the Army. Like these bozos, Brennan, Crapper et al. I no longer had the “need to know”.

When I resigned government service in the early 70’s to enter private industry, my top secret clearance was removed. In those days to hold secret or higher depended on your need to know. -

This is indicative that none of these people have ever worked in the Private sector.

I resigned as an SVP of a top 20 bank. Within 4 hours, all of my logins and computer access was changed. I left my laptop with my boss. I walked out with the pictures from my walls.

For the next couple of weeks I worked on transition stuff.

Everyone was polite. Everyone was nice. That was just the way things were in our department where access to billions in deposits was a keystroke away.

Why does anyone have access to this stuff after they leave their job? Any one of these people can be read-in if they have to.

When you are out of the club, you are out. How is this difficult to understand?
