The problem is that Obama’s economy nearly dipped back into recession about 2014, IIRC. They had quarters at 0.5 and 0.6% growth in close proximity. That is nearly the 0% in 2 consecutive quarters that is the definition of a recession.

The Upper Middle Class Country Club Goper I know is firmly convinced the figures on growth and employment are cooked and far off. His take is that the rats have so massively cooked the reporting criteria for both the Fed and the BLS it will take a long time if ever before valid federal numbers on economic performance and job market and unemployment if ever can be obtained. His take is there clearly is positive economic and jobs activity going on but thanks to BHO and his minions we really don’t know where the economy is. Wall Street is just enjoying a classic bubble binge with all the cheap money that is still around and a very big downward correction is inevitable according to this fellow. This fellow is a classic RINO , likes near open borders frankly to provide lots of cheap labor, views the Republican base with withering contempt. and pretty much openly only cares about his direct family and a small sub class type he belongs to. However, he truly hates BHO and the dems for massively frauding the economic reporting structure of the Fed and the Dept ments of Labor and Commerce.”They should all be prosecuted and be sent to jail what they did is worse than treason as it effects basic national economic decision making. This fellow is not a very nice fellow but he is certainly is bright and does spend time with bankers and financial managers and studies various economic indicators religiously and is brutally candid about his belief system and economic deductions.

And he's been kicking ass and taking names ever since. Historic lows for both black and hispanic unemployment. Stock market at new highs. GDP going to bust through the 4-5% mark. Lower taxes and more money in people's pocketbooks.
Trump doesn't have the magic wand that Obama alluded to that Trump was going to need to improve the economy.
What Trump does have is years of experience as a successful business man who understand economics like the back of his hand.
How would a community organizer ever understand the economy? Obama was too busy playing agitator and activist in South Chicago and skipped Econ 101.
