If this were poker, China is holding an ace (nukes), and then the 2,4,6, and 9 and nothing is suited.
Their debt is unbelievable, compared to ours, and its all way off-book. There are still 35 full cities they built in China and Africa with nobody living in them.
They talk about moving to another global standard currency beside the dollar and the world just laughs. Nobody will take their currency, except the Chinese and their satellites.
The tariffs they impose, and all of the other market-barring protectionist regulations are beyond bad. They have to cave.
On the other hand, we can drop the ‘trade-nuke’ and put a 40% tariff on iPhones and then sign a trade deal with Korea (if we haven’t already) that makes Samsung phones more attractive and see how that works too.
