Apparently no one understands that Trump could ‘solve’ this with a phone call at any time that he chooses. Sessions works at the pleasure of Donald Trump. A President has the unencumbered authority to fire any cabinet officer at any time that he wishes. Myers v. United States, SCOTUS 1926 settled this issue. Look it up. No one, including Congress, gets to interfere with or punish a President for firing an executive branch official. There will never be a replay of the 1868 impeachment of Andrew Johnson. Sessions is AG because Trump wants him there, despite all of the convoluted nonsense bandied about “explaining” why Trump doesn’t do what freeper groupthink insists that he should do. There is no obstruction of justice exception to Myers v United States. And Trump has all sorts of options for filling the AG slot under The Federal Vacancies Act of 1998 if the Senate refuses to confirm his chosen nominee. Your guess of “feigning aggravation” looks like it fits Occam’s Razor.

The sames goes for declassifying all of the investigative documents. Not doing it likely because he gets more political mileage out of all of this.
