A master story teller keeps an audience on the edge of their seats. He gives them more information than what the hero of the movie knows and the audience ends up yelling at the screen. That’s how you get people to really focus and really pay attention. I think that’s what is going on here. The Trump team is timing things as if this is a play, with the midterms as their finale. We know that we see hard evidence of a major criminal conspiracy that was perpetrated by Obama and his goons. And we are yelling at the screen “hey, look at this!!!” We are being played like an audience, but in this case the story line is dead serious. The Trump team knows everything we do and much, much more. I expect we will see a lot happen in very rapid succession as we get closer to the midterms.

I agree he need to leave. He recused on anything involving Russia/Trump. The Manafort and even the cohen case do not have anything to do with Russia. He was appointed to be the AG and needs to start acting like it. If he is not up to the job he need to leave. The country needs a full time AG not pretend AG. Wonder what his excuse for not doing his job is? Right now it looks like Sessions is afraid of Rosenstein

A lot of people feel the way you do, but Newt has been there in the belly of the beast and understands the underbelly of the Swamp better than anyone else around. I would trust his perceptions and judgment on the process more than anyone else, certainly more than anyone here.
