1) Did she do something’s no illegal? Yes
2) Did she try to get away with it? Yes
3) Did she resist and ignore a law. Enforcement officer command to stop? Yes
Did she suffer the consequences? Yes
If she was a starving waif, the store I guarantee you would have fed her. She’s a thief and resisted arrest. She learned a lesson and is alive. Enlist in law enforcement and makeup your own rules on right and wrong and the use of force. Until that time, you can suck on the cops boots.
The cop was most likely in a no win situation. I don't know though, I was not there.
It depends on how big the 11 year old was as compared to the cop. Was she a Michael Brown sized 11 year old? Some 11 year old kids look like they're 18.
"Cincinnati police guidelines, officers "should avoid using the TASER on obviously pregnant females and those individuals under the age of 7 or over the age of 70."
The kid was within the age guidelines of the City. Was she a pregnant 11 year old?
Yeah...me, you jerk.
Correct, it was not a good thing. Calling people who disagree boot lickers is not a good thing either.
I suspect, by the way, that the case of the girl might be a public affairs difficulty and possibly a civil suit cost difficulty. Depends on the particulars of the incident. The best patrolmen consider more than only statutes and policies.
“Depends.” LOL! It’s good to wear Depends often and at length *before* an incident, so better reactions will be second nature—not during an incident.
Anyway, we’ll see. Glad everyone involved is physically okay for now. Hope the kid doesn’t get a long lasting attitude from that and has better interactions with police in the future.
Amish got no love for electricity
Can’t touch a kid, pariod. Subsequent stupiditiy proceeds from that.
Per the Bible - He who spares the rod, hates his child....
If you gotta hate cops, have at it, but don't blame them for the ills of society and then vote for more societal ills w/o consequences.
Any cop who can’t control an 11 year old without tasing her probably is in the wrong profession.
You should reach out, see if you can’t take her into your home.
Bet you are just that kind of guy.
Regardless of age, you have no right resist
You have no right to flee
Both are aspects of criminal activity
If youre a cop and cant restrain a 11yr old girl without a taser then you shouldnt be a cop
Yes. A very good thing!
If stealing and running was all involved it was wrong, even if departmental policies technically permitted it. Yet, only cop haters would be quick and overjoyed to pass a final judgment so soon without waiting for further information.
But my big question is: Who but a twisted-ass punk would start his FR thread by calling all FReepers who would disagree "boot lickers?"
When I see people who get a charge out of personally insulting other anonymously online, I think of kids who tease other kids while hiding behind their mothers.
Years ago I witnessed a 7-11 clerk stand helplessly as about a dozen young inner city “Youts” walk in and out of the store with anything they wanted. He was alone. (Before cell phones).
I was the only one paying for my stuff.
Shoplifting is a sport to some.
It was the one and only time I ever did that. Once we made it home, my mom caught me with the gum and asked me where I got it. I knew better than to lie so I told her.
All I can say is getting tasered in the store would have been preferable to the whipping I got from both my mother and father! Then I had to go back to the store with my father and apologize to the store manager as my father paid him for what I took.
I don't think that kind of parenting exists all that much anymore.
Ive got an 11 year old
On the surface seems pretty excessive
Id like to see her pic
There are rare behemoths who are way over fed at that age
Thats the long shot of rationalization
Maybe she pushed the cop down
Then he could have shot here and Freeper applause could have been deafening
