Any and every word is surely offensive to someone somewhere. It’s out of hand. I don’t regulate myself much anymore. What’s the point? You’re offended? That’s nice. Now go away.
Victimology, the person with the most delicate feelings ‘trumps’ all! Mollycoddle the language you use, make sure that there is NO ONE who can be offended, then learn that there is always someone who can extend their sense of outrage to prove you wrong!
Perhaps they can taboo themselves right into muteness.
Give me a damn break.
Defund NPR.
Defund NPR.
Defund liberal garbage.
Defund liberal political correctness.
Sissies offended with scalp.
It’s leftists who listen all day long complaining to the obdusman.
Why can’t the GOP-controlled Congress defund NPR?
Remember the Yale Academics who got SMEARED for saying that sometimes a costume is just a costume? This is where things are going overboard, the sense of power that 'victims' possess is what counts and rational though and perspective goes out the window!
“offensive to some, at least in some situations”
I’m offended when people are called “racist” for being politically on the side of individual liberty. You think NPR cares a whit?
Hey NPR, you know what’s offensive?
Calling illegal alien undocumented immigrants.
It is offensive to every real immigrant that applied, paid their fees, waited their turn, learned the language and complied with the laws.
None of them are undocumented, they are documented citizens of other countries that broke into our country and are using fraudulent documents to get by here.
IOW, STOP LYING!
I now have two more words that I will try to add to my vocabulary as often as possible.
.
Why cant the GOP-controlled Congress defund NPR?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because they are worried about the same suburban women that you are.
So what did she replace spook with???
>>the word “scalp” in describing a political victory; that is an example of a word that NPR’s Standards and Practices Editor Mark Memmott said should have been avoided because it carries the connotation of historic violence toward indigenous people.
Didn’t Indians scalp people? It’s been changed to only refer to violence against them???
Can we still scalp tickets?
.
Illegal aliens HAVE documentation, either fraudulent IDs bought at a flea market or legit IDs for false identities courtesy of crooks at the DPS office who take bribes.
About 5 years ago I was in an online forum discussing life on a military base. I asked one of the posters if his dad was a spook.
A black girl became unhinged, asked everyone if they had seen what racist words I had posted. 20+ plus people told her spook was another term for CIA.
spook (n.)
1801, “spectre, apparition, ghost,” from Dutch spook, from Middle Dutch spooc “spook, ghost,”
from a common Germanic source (German Spuk “ghost, apparition,” Middle Low German spok “spook,” Swedish spok “scarecrow,” Norwegian spjok “ghost, specter,” Danish spøg “joke”), of unknown origin.
Only for Indians games, Braves games, and Liz Warren lectures
