Please tell me American Airlines doesn’t allow them on those tiny little jets I sometimes end up on. The bathrooms don’t even have enough room to place your feet on the floor in front of you. And I don’t have big feet.

“Miniature horses are generally bred to be friendly and to interact well with people. For this reason they are often kept as family pets, though they still retain natural horse behavior, including a natural fight or flight instinct, and must be treated like an equine, even if they primarily serve as a companion animal. They are also trained as service animals, akin to assistance dogs for people with disabilities.” (Per wiki).
Still retain a natural fight or flight instinct. Well isn’t that great. So if we hit a little turbulence, is the horse going to rear up on its hind legs and start flailing it’s hooves and horseshoes on the nearest passenger? I understand the need for service animals, for people who need help opening doors or the fridge, but I think the need for animals used to calm down crazies, is WAY overblown. When I’m sitting in a restaurant, and some idiot brings in their long haired pekinese, I want to tell them, “Why don’t you eat at home?” (And I don’t mean genuine PTSD victims, whose needs I can respect, when I say “crazies”).

Yep.

What is gonna happen when the plane hits some severe turbulence? The horse is gonna go flying thru the cabin, injuring passengers & itself.

That is what crossed my mind when I read it.

I am a horse lover but do not think even mini horses need to be flying with passengers.
