Germany has memorials for their World War II dead soldiers, even though they lost the war and were fighting for a bad cause. The memorials are not for Nazism, but for their dead from that war.
overnight in my formerly small city ( now, smaller 25,000)there was a 14 year old arrested for shooting another barely teen in the head with a pistol. Depraved indifference was a secondary charge. That fools who attend a campus of higher learning and get away with this kind of vandalism is reprehensible, tarnishes the reputation of UNC and supports the idea that fascists are doing trash like this all over the US. But not marching against violence committed with guns (for the glorification of gang culture) while disposing of a statue of a confederate soldier who poses no threat is a cowardly act. So is being part of a mob. My city is falling under gang control as the mayor does not want to jail his base.
if UNC wants to be rid of the statue, I would gladly take it and put it in my front yard, where the soldier’s ready rifle and resolute stare will overlook a park with other statues, less offensive to the mindset of higher education students, as a precaution that not all students of history are as weak and imbecilic as the ones at Chapel Hill.
They will be identified and dealt with. Legally. And some.. maybe not so much. This has pushed the limit.
The State Legislature will take action over and above this supposed law loving former Atty General (a-hole lib) who will not advocate prosecution of a State crime— destruction of State property located ON State property.

And will forward photos to you for them of the Statue of Stephen Foster (in Pittsburgh, PA) being taken down, because “there is a character in the statue that appears to be a black slave” and for “racists songwriting. The man on the statue is in overhauls has a banjo and is smiling/singing over a sheaf of either tobacco or sugarcane. His features are definitely not black, in any way.
Stephen Foster wrote tunes that were extremely non-PC in the times he wrote them. Notably “Angelina Baker” about a slave romance that was not to be— because Angelina disappears— meaning she was sold. This song was counterculture and performed in the 1850’s by the Christy Minstrels. Very un-PC. But still they tear his statue down.. in Pittsburgh.
This will not stop, until we stop it— because it is ultra communist inspired to destroy US history (under the guise of “race”) to include even Benjamin Franklin.
