Seeing a few Freepers calling McCain a traitor who hated the military.
At least, I never came close to saying anything close to that level of vitriol!
Plus, others seem to agree with President Trump refusing to issue an official statement, so as not to be hypocritical.
The MOH recipients you mentioned I think were awarded the medal for their heroism as POWs. McCain was a traitor and should have been court-
martialed the minute he got back to the states. Trump’s words were clumsy in his haste to say McCain was not a hero. But even though he was right on McCain certainly not being a hero, he gave liberals something to attack him on for the rest of his life. I think it was Thorsness who was awarded the
MOH for actions before he was shot down.
I was responding to the claim that war heroes don’t get captured. An incredibly inaccurate statement I’m sure you’ll agree. McCain doesn’t enter in to it.
