Ferguson is now the social justice focal point of the Midwest, much like Oakland.
One of the protesters is now going to be the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney without ever prosecuting a state level case.
He is also under extreme pressure from those very people you see holding the store hostage to reopen the Darren Wilson case.
I fully expect that to happen, and when he is acquitted, (they won’t get him in front of a grand jury again) the firestorms will happen once again.
A little aside. If you look inside those police SUVs, you will see four officers. Nowadays, that is typically the size of the whole watch. Four officers for 21,000 people in one of the most dangerous municipalities in St. Louis County.
Those guys are probably on mandatory comp time.
Put up a big screen on the roof of the store and play the video of that thug committing strong arm robbery on a loop 24-7.
Stealing from a store and the perp is killed = store’s fault.
Michael Brown was only the first thug to “target” the convenience store.
You just may get the opportunity to do so. One of the first things the next St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney said he will do when he takes office is review the Ferguson files to determine whether he will bring charges against Officer Wilson.
If he does so, I would guess that a fund will be established to help Wilson pay for his defense.
They want the guy to pay for “security”. I thought that was a classic shakedown only in the movies.
Thanks for the acknowledgement, but I stole it from somebody else, I don’t remember who. I just want that information out there where they can’t deny it. But they do anyway. Some people don’t even know what the DOJ is, but they know Michael Brown was gunned down in cold blood.
You need to just watch the film to know that the protesters are wrong.

There is NO insurance payout with a riot.
Ask the store owners from the WATTS riots of the 60’s. Many of those stores have not been rebuilt because there was no insurance, and NO INSURANCE company will insure a contractor with a rebuilding.

So the store owner is the victim of a crime...and now they’re discussing ‘protection?’
Welcome to the America where one group feels it is entitled to behave in any way it wants, even commit violent crimes, and not be held responsible.
Yeah, the world probably would be better off without them.
But...
Consider the indictment for manslaughter arising out of a recent fatal “Stand Your Ground” shooting that started over the possible misuse of a handicapped parking space at a convenience store in Florida. It is probably best to let the punks be off’d by their fellow criminals or by the police if possible.
If you must shoot, take time... during the split second or so you’ll probably have to react ... to make really sure it is a good shoot.
Okay, that last bit was sarcasm. But just a little.
Just remember what they say in the CCW classes: “Even if the shooting is fully justified, your life afterwards will change in unimaginable ways, most of them negative.”
Ain’t gonna happen.....
