A sprinter, not long-distance. In junior high, the phys-ed teachers at the two junior highs in town put together girl’s track teams and we competed a few times. I ran the 75 and the 100 yard dashes and did the running long jump. No stamina for the long runs at all but everyone ate my dust in the dashes. :-)

At Antietam back when the Bike was new (1993). Now we are both official antiques.

I’ve never been to Maryville but have travelled I-75 several times. Pretty country through the mountains, isn’t it?
We’re about 50 miles west of Chattanooga, just out of the mountain chain. We can see them from the farm.

LOL! Long skinny legs came in good for something. Was rarely beaten in the running long jump. The standing long jump was a different story though I did ok with it.
It was all fun and that’s what counted.
