Compulsion For Uniformity

I look back to my college days. I was much more liberal in those days. But I feared the CIA and the FBI. I had a disdain for Big Government. I was concerned about 'Big Business' but knew that is where jobs came from.

these kids today seem to love Big Government telling them what to do.

Finally, the competing philosophies underlying liberty/freedom, on the one hand and tyranny/bondage to government, on the other hand can be discussed openly and without subterfuge!

"Ideas have consequences. - Weaver

Progressives/Liberals, for decades, have masked their real underlying ideology. Now, their unbelievable response to the booming economy and degree of individual and individual-enterprise freedom and prosperity is to move leftward--all the way to declaring for socialism!

That is an unbelievable gift for all citizens who love liberty and advocate for personal freedom and limited government.

What was the final R-D vote total? The last time I checked, the Rs had slightly more than the Ds.

If that’s all you want, go to the supervisor of elections site. Doesn’t take a genius.

Part of the problem is the switch in how our history is taught in many schools. The emphasis used to be on the adventure of discovery, by the great European explorers, followed by the adventure of settling a veritable wilderness, etc..

Big Government was never a factor here until after the French & Indian War, when the British troops, sent over to protect the Colonists from the French & their allies, staid over to enforce Parliamentary decrees.

Second big takeaway: Everyone is jazzed up. The off-year Florida primary broke records across the state for any primary this century.

Same here locally in Northern AZ. I asked one lady at the voting station how things were going - it was 1 PM and empty. She said that, based on previous turnouts, they had met their expectations early and there was still the after-work rush yet to come. This is in a conservative area, so I felt good aboout it.

Seriously? Third largest by population — only thing that matters in elections.

I’ll assume this is a joke.
