Maybe Trump Jr. hasn't thought about the subject very deeply. Minds.com already allows free speech. However,
1) FB users who have not been banned yet (I have been kicked off a couple of years ago) are too comfortable with FB
2) If the rest of conservatives joined me on minds.com and gab.ai (to replace twitter) the same Soros-type money would start attacking those sites.
Perhaps it’s time to “silence” Soros.
A friend of a friend of mine (young liberatarian) got into a nasty debate on a public internet forum and literally demolished the arguments of three or for leftist commenters.
Later, one of the leftist commenters or a lurker or whoever attempted to dox him and extort a family member of his. Via Facebook this person discovered his father’s small but successful business. They then hacked the businesses website to show they could and sent a message stating the they would plant child porn on the computers and destroy the businesses reputation...all if the son commented on the internet again.
They went to the police and the police said they wouldn’t pursue it, but it’s good that they brought it to their attention and that they should keep records of any interactions.
I was thinking something more akin to "arkancide". We can call it "Manhattancide" instead.

That’s basically what an echo chamber is.

Social media became an echo chamber in 2016 because of the intentional polarization by the Left. But, internet echo chambers go way back to the newsgroups days. FR and DU are echo chambers as well. It isn’t totally bad, but we must be aware of the fact that we are in one or our perception of reality gets skewed. Only a fool would consider the frequent posters on FR to be a true representative sample of Americans, but some people actually believe that it is. The same is true for DU, OccupyDemocrats, or a collection of FB friends after you have purged out all the moonbats (or for a Prog, the “wingnuts”).
We dont use social media at all.
