I think Grassley played the Dems big time with his committee management today. He let them play out everything they wanted to say so they had no chance to grab sound and video bites of "poor me," look how those mean Republicans pushed us around today. He gave them full throttle to portray their motives. Brilliant, imo.

Added bonus: Pubbies get some choice sound bites of their own for future use, assuming of course, that they know what to do with them. There's a lot of fodder in the hearing so far for our dear DJT's tweets.

No, after exchanging some words with Hatch, Grassley let it go and told the democrats they had as much time as they wanted to make whatever points they wanted to make.

Obviously they were hanging themselves. That this has ended means that the democrats realize they were just creating campaign points for the Republicans.
