CT resident here, I’ve never seen him shade his hand like that before. On day 2 he did his best to hide them under the desk.
Blumenthal has always been accustomed to not having much public push-back for his stupid comments/questions in a setting where he is forced to stay. He has always favored a press conference he can quickly bow out of and only take questions from people that he wants to.
He was either really nervous and that’s what the shaking was from or it could be something else.
