The DNC operatives were floating this lead filled balloon several months ago with the hint that the Trump Organization had had him offed to prevent him telling everything he knew. . . but that makes no sense.
As a matter of fact none of this makes any logical sense since the narrative they want people to believe is that Donald Trump has been Putin’s puppet for years and if that’s the case there would be zero reason for a minor campaign nobody to be inveigled into being told about “dirt” the Russians had on Hillary by some obscure Maltese Professor, because said “Puppet” Trump would have already had everything “dirty” on Hillary already provided to him by his handlers and the puppet master Putin. There’d be no necessity for such circumlocutions. All the “puppet” would need to do would be to pick up the secret secure phone and say “Hey, Putin, baby, what more do I need to win this thing?” and it would be forthcoming. No need for clandestine meetings between flunkies.
But of course logic has never been there strong point. . . or sense.

The initial warrant, and its three subsequent renewals could have been used to spy on anyone who was in contact with Page, including members of the Trump campaign. The NSA is allowed to analyze communications “two hops” from its original target. Anyone in direct communication with Page is one hop away, and anyone in communication with those talking to Page is two hops away.
