Sales are a one time thing. Wait and see if that continues. Stock holdings that are dumped are long term

I cannot boycott something I’ve never bought in the first place.

Very true and my guess is that applies to most freepers. But what you can do is boycott anybody who advertises or sells their product.

And I’m supposed to believe this story because..........?

I think that's the dumbest comment I have seen recently.

Check the reported numbers, and check the stock price. It's not difficult.

Never underestimate the large number of anti-Americans we are dealing with.

The price may be up because Nike bought back some stock when the price dropped.

This is a skirmish in the cultural war. Nike has chosen sides. Whether or not they choose wisely will not be known for years.

I think that's the dumbest comment I have seen recently.

Someone who believes anything he sees in print might not wanna go there.

And context is king, pard. Even is if sales numbers and the stock price are up, that doesn't necessarily translate into good news for Nike. We need to know a lot more first. The SEC filings should be interesting. NIKE can mislead the public, but they pull that with the Feds at their peril.

When I first saw this 31% number, it was qualified as ‘on-line sales’.

We have to see if it translates to anything sustained.

According to data from Edison Trends, online sales of Nike products jumped 31 percent between the Sunday before and the Tuesday after Labor Day, nearly double last year’s 17 percent increase over the same time period.

They grab a small time slice that shows a jump over the prior year and tout that in the headline, while failing to mention it is only for a 3-day period.

Internet sales are up 31%, big deal. The SJWs came in and supported their hatred of America. We will see how the real sales are doing in stores.

I saw another version of this article yesterday in which the 30% figure was for aa few days worth of ‘online sales’.

I don’t think this will last. A year from now, they will have ready explanations that the 10% in overall Nike product sales is due to a general decline in the sports apparel market.

The data this is based on is from Edison Tends, not Nike. Trust but verify.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think Nike will have similar results to Dick’s in time ... sales will eventually be ‘off’.

With hurricanes the thugs won’t need to pay for the next pair, they can loot them. That should change sale pattern.

I will see all of mine today while it's phony numbers are up...then buy it back when it's 95% down.....how did these guys get so rich....doing this same crap.

So in other words, it’s cyclical. Parents buying shoes for their kids at the start of the school year as they sign up for various sports.

It’s not just sales, though, it’s revenue. If those sales were gained by discounting the product, there go the margins. We’ll see. I’d love to boycott Nike, but I have never bought a Nike item in my life. This recent cr@p from them is nothing new.

I’m not surprised about the bump. The question is will they get more residual sales from new anti-American consumer loyalty than people like us who will never buy their products again. I suspect not.

Kapernicks name just happens to be connected with Nike. The sales would more than likely have gone up without his support as the “brainwashed” rush to purchase the latest fad in tennis shoes.
