So, before condemning the family, do they have a secure location to hunker down? If so, more power to them for their preparation. I'm sick and tired of the government and media being overbearing nannies and telling everyone what to do, when, and enforcing it as if that is their constitutional right. It is not. People need to be accountable for their actions, right or wrong.

If I lived in a wood shack on the beach, I'd evacuate. If I lived in an elevated, concrete structure, had food and water stores, I'd stay.
