So everybody hates the Beatles now? Is that like football - that you had to really love the thing before to hate it so much now? If you really weren't that into them, maybe you aren't so offended by them now?
It's been fifty years. I guess in the 60s people weren't still into Al Jolson and Rudy Vallee and Bessie Smith, so why should anybody think the Beatles relevant today? Isn't it a given that their stuff is dated?
But understand, Paul (the pretty one) was only one-fourth of the group. So far Ringo hasn't made any political pronouncements and I don't think we can expect any coming from George or John, so maybe it's okay if you like three-fourths of their music.
