Grassley has embarrassed himself, his party, and his constituency. His unwillingness or inability to live within the rules of the committee tell us more about his agenda than his competence, perhaps. But, it remains that a perfectly acceptable candidate has been wildly slandered by the left, at every turn. Their ridiculous demands for an FBI investigation into a non-event that would NEVER have been in their jurisdiction originally, along with incessant demands for accommodation to the so-called victim, are delaying tactics to push this beyond the midterms.
Grassley and the pubbies need to grow a pair! Stop it! You have made fine, but unnecessary, offers...up to and including having this idiot testify from her home so she would not have to travel to DC. You have altered committee rules on hearing dates and extensions to pander to her attorneys’ tantrums. You’ve drawn several lines-in-the-sand, only to cave when the left wrongly cries foul.
It’s time to stop the stupidity. The American people will support a straightforward, up/down vote in the SENATE. But, you’ve got to get this out of committee. DO IT NOW!

I'm a woman. I don't for one minute buy any part of her story. In 1969, I was raped, got pregnant from the rape, had the baby in March 1970, and gave him up for adoption to a loving Christian home. Although it's 49 years later, I vividly remember every detail of what happened: when (late evening, July 1969), where (in a car in the old Brooklyn Navy Yard), how, the name of who did it, and even why (I stupidly put myself in a potentially dangerous situation).
It is human nature to remember significant occurrences in our lives.
Trump won West Virginia by 40 points and if Joe Manchin does not vote for Kavanaugh he will lose his senate seat. WV voters are still Trump supporters and would finally see right through Manchin’s sorry ass.
You make an excellent point. The real battle isn’t The faux drama being played out in the media, it’s having enough votes to get the Judge out of committee.
I am disgusted. Someone needs to open a used backbone concession near Capitol Hill. The backbones being in near mint condition would fetch a good price.

Let’s get it on..no testimony will change a thing. That part is over. My bet is the yes vote will prevail. The left is scheming as long as this charade continues...and as you know they play dirty.
Flake is certainly not alone! I can’t think of a democrat senator with an ounce of integrity or honor. There are some republicans who do, but most of them live with the goal of being re-elected until they die.
This fall, I’ll vote for Martha McSally.
I despise her! I loathed her when she was being wined and dined and meeting congresswomen as the ‘first female fighter pilot’ and had the gall to complain about wearing a burka to go to the meetings! I lost count how many times I deployed to Saudi Arabia, and I never once set foot off the small protected area of the base. I’d have put on a burka and shaved MY hairy male legs just for a chance to get off the damned base and have a beer or eat something that hadn’t been cooking for 5 hours!
I met a number of A-10 pilots. Learned not to ask them about her. Never met one with a kind word to say about her. Most turned angry at her name.
And McSally is no conservative. She refused to endorse Trump when he was running and may have voted for Hillary.
But I’ll vote for her because her opponent didn’t want ANY response to 9/11, attacked those of us in the military, is a bisexual loonie and a 100% sure vote against any judge Trump nominates to anything! It would be SO nice to vote FOR someone - but not likely. I’m always stuck with voting for either “Repulsive” or “More Repulsive”.
Sadly enough, Flake ran as a conservative and had a good track record. He turned hard left the day after his election, but is still one of the more conservative senators in terms of most votes. It is his unrelenting hatred for Trump that has made him unacceptable to Arizona, and I think that bitterness will drive his vote now.
