Let’s get real here. The Democrats were counting on the Republicans to fold if they just screamed and hollered enough. That’s what usually happened in the past. The difference is in Donald Trump, they’ve met someone who is not going to go along with their crap and who simply doesn’t care if they say mean things about him as a result - they were doing that anyway.
Now that their bluff has been called, I’d bet she doesn’t show up.

Justice Thomas basically gave his Fox interview in front of the Senate panel. “A high tech lynching” I believe we’re his words. This is pretty similar. A very great man and a great Justice. Kavannah couldn’t do better for a coach in these circumstances.
You are correct; it was addressed to Feinstein, but was delivered to a House member (Anna Eshoo, CA-17), who shared it with Feinstein. It seemed odd that Feinstein was so emphatic about the letter not coming directly to her or to any other senator.

It's been written that delivering the letter first to a House member creates a scenario where the letter is not considered evidence and avoids perjury ramifications.

That makes no sense though because method of delivery shouldn’t be as important as the intended recipient. Sort of like whether a letter comes USPS, FedEx or UPS it still belongs to recipient. Another Dem game?

The way it was described is that if the letter were delivered to a committee member, it would be considered evidence and subject to perjury claims. Since it was delivered to a House member first, it is not considered as evidence.
