This whole fiasco was meant to drudge up _one_ good (even if unsubstantiated) reason for the Democrats to use as cover in voting against him. They couldn’t.
Still, it’s a slam-dunk that the D’s will vote against him. There’s no real downside in voting against a Trump pick in their world. The real problem lies with the wobbly R’s. And even with McCain gone there are a enough of ‘em to torpedo the appointment.

I just sent a message to Sasse asking him to vote for Kavanaugh in committee and the floor vote. Since I live in Nebraska and I voted for him (which I mentioned in the message) I hope that helps just a little bit.

Maryland has no statue of limitations on sexual assault. Sooo, theoretically speaking, some Maryland prosecutor, might get an idea to file charges against Kavanaugh in the future. Ford is not a credible accuser ... she was a flop. Republicans went to the heart of the matter by having a 'real' sex crimes prosecutor ask the questions.
