For some reason, I can’t find one single photo of Andrea Shantora Brown on the internet, even though she was found guilty. No mug shot, no nothing. None of the articles that tell this story has a photo of her. Just the video.

The school itself is in a deep pocket of ungentrified DC. in far southeast along Oxon Run Park, just over the DC line. The area is heavily wooded and would be attractive if you could wave a magic wand and make the drugs and crime disappear. There are some ok areas off Alabama Avenue not too far away and the move of DHS to the St. E's campus will change things over time, but to date some neighborhoods are still LBJ Hoodlum Ranches dominated by 1960's-style housing projects.
This is bizarre on 2 counts: a woman sexually assaulting a woman, and the person who is assaulted being the one punished with unpaid leave. Yeah, let’s all go and be TEACHERS, right kids? Get abused and get docked.

Is the teacher being punished for not acceding to her attacker’s desires? Obviously she is racist. The Entitled woman wanted something and Garbee didn’t give it to her. That is Hate and Racism.
I worked at an urban black Catholic school in DC that had kids from some of these demographics (including drug-addict/absent parents), but not too many. I visited some of the homes in order to deliver computers, etc. and some of the scenes were atrocious. Most were trying their best to make good on what they had and genuinely appreciated the help. (One dominant image I have of most of these homes empty walls with not artwork, no visual stimulus, and a TV blaring.)
A colleague of mine, an exceptionally talented teacher (i.e. not trained to be a teacher...lol), moved to one of the charter schools located in S.E. Teachers there are required to visit w/ parents and the stories he has are mind-blowing. His job is to provide an alternative socialization for the kids while he is with them, and that’s all.
Catholic schools are the only alternative for ghetto culture because the secular schools aren’t allowed to promote values, and when the do it’s all leftist bullcrap and victimization. The urban Catholic schools are run by leftists, but at least they have to, now and then, speak to Jesus.
I feel bad for this teacher, but if she thought she was safe at that school she was entirely naïve.
