When 85% of your catch is comprised of scallops, one might understand a reduction in the scallop population in the area fished? Particularly if they are enclosed in a hard shell.
The BP oil well blowout was the best thing to ever happen in the gulf as it relates to fish stocks. The ban on commercial fishing let the populations explode back to amazing levels.

What will we do with bacon when there’s nothing good to wrap them around?

Word on the street is, most scallops are manufactured by punching a round shape from some lesser sea life?
Only the best fake scallops!

“...under the worst case scenario, climate change could reduce the scallop population...”
That’s the “worst case” scenario?
I thought that was when the earth dissolved into a gooey green slime, and evaporated.

Somebody needs to exercise a little muscle and save the scallops from this dreadful outcome.

I live on the Westport River on the Southcoast of Mass. Scallopers had their best season in 30 yrs on the River. Not even the Experts know why, but theyll enjoy the bounty
