Who wouldn't watch a humorless, strident, imitation sitcom? I've blessed my own life by never having seen a single episode of either version of the show.

I never saw the original “MB”.

I decided to watch the first episode of the reboot to see what it was like. (This SH Sanders stuff must have been in the 2nd ep which I won’t be watching).

They attacked Trump, but no more than I expected, which was probably less than the average “Late Show” episode.

I am ignoring it’s partisan slant when I say this, I would be honest if it was funny at all, it was not. It was painfully unfunny. Cringe-worthy almost. Terribly written “humor”, horribly clunky exposition, and a drowsy performance from Candace Bergen.

If there are any 80 year old Trump haters maybe they might have enjoyed it, the comedy of equivalent of nursing home jello. Or pureed steak or something. Tastes kinda like something they might remember (ie familiar faces if they watched the original) but there’s nothing to chew.

As I've said before:

Candice Bergen just needs to claim she voted for Trump. Then a bunch of FReepers will suddenly LOVE Murphy Brown and claim its a "conservative, pro-family TV series"

Note how Roseanne "I hope the people who eat at $hit-Fil-A get cancer" Barr is now a conservative martyr.

Love that movie. Brian Keith was born to play Teddy Roosevelt.

I saw a picture of her around the age when she went on a date with Trump. She WAS a looker, no doubt, I was surprised in fact cause I never found her attractive.

Yeah, I think late 60s/early 70s era Candice Bergen was a hottie. I'm surprised she wasn't called "Candy" back then and part of some LSD-dropping, drugged out insane hippie peacenik group, seems like she'd be a natural fit during that time period. Instead, she's always so serious and bland.

“Murphy Brown” was a liberal slanted POS when it first aired back in the day and even without seeing any of the reboot, I know it will be of the same smell & total lack of any humor—

I wouldn’t watch it....evidently, based on ratings, very few did.
