This is generally true. I had an lefty engineering prof in grad school. None of this stuff used to come up during classroom, but he would walk into our labs from time to time and we would discuss politics, and his hatred of anything Reagan. I am sure I raised his BP on more than a few occasions b/c I did not agree with his crap. Of course, I had to learn how to deal with such people, including how to wrestle away the real issue to be discussed (the left loves to control the agenda). His politics never was part of his grading. Anyway, decades later I happen to be seated on a jet next to a young woman who happened to be his daughter whom I did not know. I gave her my business card. My former prof and I exchanged a few nice emails as a result. He mellowed.
Most of my humanities, arts, and social science profs back then were fair people, who never let their personal politics intrude on the education process.
And one of the very few colleges that forgoes federal gov’t funding. If I had to do it over again, Hillsdale is where I’d go.

One question...how many liberals separate themselves from the “leftists”? I’m not sure many do...if they did they’d realize the huge difference between classical liberalism and what most liberals spout today. If somebody considers them self a classical liberal today, they really need to realize they’re probably more aligned with modern conservatism than anything else, certainly not with the modern left.
These people are great examples of “a cause” that, if left alone to run its course, can only reach an inevitable conclusion - extremism in the form of supremacist views. Modern feminism is nothing but an illogical, man-hating, supremacist ideology that needs to be called out for what it is. We’re at a point where this really needs to be addressed, it is hurting our young men. Consider this type of attitude toward a young man that is being falsely accused of sexual misconduct, he won’t have a chance. He will be judged and persecuted without any trial, a life ruined because of their pure hatred of men.
This has been going on a long time. It’s been 25 years since I was at university, even then, I recall seeing an entire row of girls that had a paper graded as an “A”, noting that NONE of the boys I saw did, while knowing most of the girls were not “A” students (not even close) - female professor of course. Now fast forward as my son went through school. In middle school his female math instructor said he wasn’t an “A” student, yet couldn’t reconcile when I noted he got “A”s on all of his exams. She was notably insulting to me as well, as though I had no clue (I’m a software architect). When my son graduated college I was shocked. I’m not kidding - at least 85% of the graduates were female. Where are the males?
The thing is, most “feminists” only see this as “progress” - when it is nothing of the sort. When it comes down to it, most women will still judge a male on their ability to provide, even if they don’t need them to. Most women want a strong man, they despise weak men. Only feminists want weak men, without understanding that, in reality, that makes THEM more vulnerable. You only need look at Europe, their men are no longer protecting their women - from real savages. The types that feminism will never be able to confront, they’d be beaten if they try. Congratulations feminists.
Auditing a class is not just dropping in when you want to. There is a formal process to enroll as an audit student and many classes are not available to audit. If you are asked to leave the classroom by the instructor and you don't, you can be charged with trespassing. Whether you like it or not, this is the private property of the university and this hag is in charge of the classroom space.
