Now that he is confirmed an swor, is it the time to point out that this guy worked for Karl Rove and is a hard core Bushie. The whole prep school Yalie new-con bushie type.

I know he is better than we would get from Hillary. But do not kid yourself that this guy is a Scalia or Thomas.

I say this to give the folks around here a heads up when he starts ruling on their side.

I hope all the RINOs like Collins are replaced in the nearest future possible by Trumpian freedom fighting maniacs....like Trump.

>>FOX News also insisted Ford was credible.<<

So did too many Republican Senators and even the POTUS, all of whom should have had the good sense to keep their yaps shut because she was anything but “credible”.

You saw the danger these people were facing. Yet, it seems not to matter. You know the incredible pressure the Senators were facing. Yet, it seems not to matter.

Graham’s speech in the JC was incredible, it sounded like a Freeper (not you apparently) and hit devastating point after devastating point. That speech was what clinched the confirmation and was a historic event.

It unified the GOP as never before and said what the Senators knew but never articulated.

Yes, this country is in a terrible political situation with only the GOP and the President to stand in the way of the fascists.

We have a tremendous Ray of Light, a very positive thing, and you can’t help yourself and must throw a blanket over it. As though you know of something better that could have been done, laughable.

Thanks a million.

>>It takes courage for a Rep from a blue state to vote for Kavanaugh,<<

So true. And it also took courage for Joe Manchin to vote “yes” in defiance of all others in his party. I know his constituents were strongly for Kav, but it still took some grit to buck his party.

I agree on Collins, but the way Lindsay acted in the Dummycrats attempted show trial last week showed me his change may be more profound.

He showed true anger and disgust. I believe this was the disgust and anger of a man who has given years of service to the Bush/Deep State apparatus, perhaps out of genuine belief they were genuinely wanting the best.

In that room as Lindsay Graham saw a good family man and outstanding jurist be insulted and humiliated I think something snapped within him.

Bend the knees to Trump, Lindsay, and he will show you mercy

Go away Mark. Grassly, McConnell, Graham, Collins and even Flake saved Kavanaugh.

My biggest problem with Levin is that he can be rude or “short” even with good callers to his show. His “mansplaining” (not just to women) gets tiresome. He really can be a jackass.

Easier for Mancin. A no vote would have killed him. 68% of West Virginians wanted Kavanaugh confirmed. Man in was not the deciding vote. I doubt he would have voted for Kavanaugh if that were the case.

Sometimes my kids don’t understand what I’m telling them. Adults do, though.

I make certain conclusions about these two experiences.

“Curmudgeon Oats for breakfast Mark”

If you look up curmudgeon in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of Levin. That doesn’t make him wrong though. Collins did the right thing this time and should be praised for it.
She is not a hero in that we can’t trust her to do the right thing the next time or the time after that etc...

You said:
“Mr. Levin should give her some credit. She finally said “enough is enough”.”

Levin said”
“A sigh of relief she’s voting for his confirmation, yes. A hero, no.”

I think Levin’s words accurately describe my reaction to hearing Collins was voting to confirm. She has earned that reaction by voting the against our wishes time and time again way over the years. IMO, the level of credit he gave her is the level of credit she deserved.

I like Mark Levin and think he is a clear thinker on a number of issues. But I get tired of his “damn everyone who isn’t 100% pure” approach to politics. He lives in a pundit vacuum where you don’t have to make compromises. That’s not America. Its the same trap that Liberals fall into when they say that if we just find a way to clearly articulate our principles, Americans will flock to our philosophy. The reality is that America is liberal in a lot of ways. Americans want government if it gives them benefits and they really don’t care about expanding government if they don’t have to pay for it now. Mark has made a good living being angry that Republican politicians don’t all vote in lockstep on his view of a conservative agenda. But that is not reality.
