Don’t even stay in the room with a physician that doesn’t seem to respect you. But you, as you say, are a professional, so you know that. Sorry about your health issues. Find someone you trust and stick with them. One way to navigate is to find a primary care doc you trust. They will tend to refer you to people they trust. Don’t shop for specialists on your own. This is what I do for my primary care. God bless.

I can’t speak to your personal situation, because I don’t know you and stuff, but ...
I’m finding that as time goes by, watching what I eat and drink, and taking care of myself is become more and more important. Junk food and junk drinks lead to feeling junky. Same with lack of exercise.
But again, I don’t know you our your circumstances. You could be Jim Fixx or Jack LaLane.
Either way, take care of yourself. Friend of mine tells me, “You only get one health, take care of it.” I think I’m beginning to believe him.

I’ve been following a keto diet and have been losing weight and feeling better.
Stopped eating BREAD and wheat completely as part of it.
Going Gluten-free is NOT HARD.
Meat, eggs, cheese, fruits and veggies, nothing else.
DO NOT BOTHER to buy special expensive gluten-free foods- they taste like crap anyway.
Eggs for breakfast, chicken-salad over spinach for lunch, a small piece of steak and roasted veggies for dinner, a lot of SPRING water (not the chemical laden crap from the tap unless filtered)
You’ll lose 20 pounds every month.
...but it all went away Saturday.
