Yes, instant replay stinks. It has changed the game (the neighborhood play). Now they've introduced rules to protect the ss and 2nd basemen.
Ron Luciano would of taken care of Martin and Weaver
We'll be wrapping it up tonight because Thursday night will see pouring rain here in Boston.
Look for a 2-1 Sox victory tonight...10 innings.
That's got to be the longest baseball argument ever. I'm sure Martin came close. Waiting for someone to retrieve the stolen base from Martin.
I find your prediction ludicrous! :). That said, a local kid is playing for the Red Sox. Chris Sale.
I saw two of the three blown calls at first base. The first on was very, very close but the replays show that he got it wrong. The second one wasn’t close at all. The replay review lasted about 2 seconds. I didn’t see the third.
Behind the plate tonight? Ugh. Sounds like it could be ugly.
Actually, two local kids. The other Steve Pearce.
I really miss The Earl of Baltimore. He once walked out for the pregame meeting with the umps, handed in his lineup card, said “Hi Ron.” to Luciano, and got ejected. Then he goes up to the the public address announcer and announces he’s protesting the game for “umpire integrity.” I forget how long his suspension was.
Yes..they only have to win twenty more to catch the Yankees
That’s awesome - never saw that.
No Hernández, they (MLB) doesn’t discriminate against you because you’re Latino, they discriminate against you because you are blind.
5.56mm
No umpire ever worse than Eric Gregg, 1997 Braves vs Marlins. Epic Bad
Fred Brocklander ‘86 NLCS Mets vs Astros was horrible.
What is the availability of baseball fields in the inner cities?
What is the availability of baseball fields in the inner cities?
I think aggressive recruiting by college football and basketball might have something to do with it.
Over the past few years, I’ve seen him make soooo many bad calls behind the plate, and they seemed to favor whichever team my Rangers were playing. He’s booted players, coaches and managers who complain about his calls.
MLB needs to dump him before next season.
Bye, bye yankees.
4-1, down to your last three outs, and Kimbrel is warming up in the bullpen.
