“Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal”
When was the Bloomberg announcement?
Before or after he lost 58% of his wealth to the SA Government? (give it or die)

;) Just like when they had that false coup. Notice how they all of a sudden had brand new Turkey/Edogon flags at the ready? Nothing gets done in that country w/o his approval.

Nevertheless all this murderous itrigue reflects the current insolvable turmoil in the Islamic world. Islamic culture cannot stand up to the challenge of Western modernity. The individual freedoms, institutions and values of the West are not compatible with Islamic culture. Agreed.
I have said before that Islam can't be reformed so what we have to do is poison Islam by freeing its women and getting them interested in worldly things like personal vanity and thinking more about themselves and worldly pleasures than in doing what their God wants done. -Tom

This article makes it sound like he was a brave voice for reform speaking truth to power in an oppressive regime.
I think the truth is that he was a brazen voice for oppression in a regime that was beginning to reform.
Quite a difference.

Then I hope you lose at “reforming Islam”, because it sounds like you just want to empower more Feminazis around the globe.

Not that it matters much but I had relatives that went to ISU around 1983 (article says he earned a degree in 1983). No mention of Khashoggi in the 1982, 83 or 84 year books. Probably lied on his resume.

I’ve seen it suggested that Khashoggi was a spook. For us. That his public positions were his cover.
Who knows.. but the amount of interest being accorded him sure seems odd.

I am not interested in empowering feminazis. -Tom

There are certain parties a lot closer to home who would love Trump to rush headlong into a war.
Frankly, my concern meter is broken with this guy.

We won’t go to war over him.
I’m not sure we will ever be sure who killed him.
He was a Saudi insider, but he was in Turkey.
Some of the Saudi’s Royal Family were/are pro Jihadi’s. The new King does not appear to. So it is their stable to be cleaned.

I doubt it. Foreign students might fall through the cracks.
But if he were a spook as some suggest, it might be cover only.

Not the point. Civilised countries don’t torture, murder and dismember political opponents, especially in other people’s countries. This shouldn’t be tolerated, just as what the Russians did in Salmsbury shouldn’t be tolerated.

Sorry
Imposing our hypocritical morality on others has rarely borne fruit and often it makes things worse
Its a Saudi problem
Israel kills its foes with legal warrant whenever necessary
Britain
France
The USA
Etc
I just dont care as a rule and particularly with this guy
Its a murky world
