This is the great thing about a free market. We can choose to drive what ever we want and can afford to drive.
I drive a Toyota Tacoma V6 4WD long bed. My wife drives a Honda Odyssey. My son drives a Subaru Imprezza.
I know someone who owns a sawmill in eastern Washington. He is wealthy. He drives a Tesla sedan. He said he drove it to from WA to AZ stopping every 250 miles at a rapid recharge station. He loves that he never pays for fuel for his $85k car.
I know another guy who owned the first H2 Hummer delivered into New England. After it was stolen, he bought another. He loves it. He wishes they still made them.
Four of my coworkers drive Chevy Diesel 4WD 4 door pick ups.
Three of them pull 24-30’ boats and are avid fishermen. The other owns a 32’ travel trailer.
The point is we are all lucky to be able to afford and make the choices we have. Fuel is cheap in the US in comparison to our incomes. It is much more expensive in other places in the world. IF gasoline were $5-7/gallon many of us would be forced to buy smaller more fuel efficient vehicles. Do you really think those poor people in foreign countries choose to ride around on a scooter? The government has for years been forcing us into smaller vehicles through regulations and increased taxes. That trend will continue.
Yea, but Kerry’s 75’ yacht is a sailboat.
(It probably still has a big diesel engine)
I’m still waiting for the hoaxsters to take a dump on 18-wheelers. That may interrupt the delivery of the mac & cheese mom makes and serves up in the basement.
You do?
Hogwash.
But I do applaud you choosing 12 years rather then the "Ten years until dooms day" that I have been hearing for the past 40 years.
Makes you slightly different.
Oh, dear Lord.......
We need them to tell us how to drive in winter?
I wonder how many of them have ever even driven in the snow.
And I don’t need their stinking permission to do ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
And at the rate things are going, that might not be such a bad thing.
Maybe that will offset the current, observed onset of the Mini Ice Age!!!!
... but I doubt it.
Water vapor is a FAR, FAR stronger greenhouse gas than CO2.
CO2 is the THIRD strongest. Second is methane, produced by cows, termites, volcanoes, the ground, and water as in swamps and the ocean.
