My only exposure to Mika is here. I long ago quit paying even the briefest attention to that show. My observation is that it’s all about ratings, and saying this sort of stuff fires up those that lean right and watch her, while delighting the left.

While I think there is calculation to this sort of remark, and Mika was probably prompted by handlers to say it, I also believe Mika to be a dim bulb who likely believes every bit of what they put into her mouth.
