About time the R's learned to play hardball and use the D's own tactics against them.
Good for Grassley.

Ever notice since the day McSh!tStain died that everything started to get better in the Senate? Lindsey Graham certainly returned to his pre-Clinton Impeachment Conservative self. Never thought I'd see the day!

How DARE Republicans do their Constitutional duty and confirm judges.
Who do they think they are; United States Senators?

Ticking off the lies...
These sessions were planned and are going on now because Feinstein asked that the original sessions be postponed. Grassley insisted that she agree to these re-booked dates even if the Senate was not in session when the dates came up. She did. Now she complains and pretends she didn’t know. Grassley published the whole series of letters on twitter.
Now we can compare the experience Kagan had before ascending to the Supreme court to the nominee being questioned and see this is not a serious objection after all.
Durbin has some nerve trying to paint the Right as being nonpartisan for going ahead with nomination hearings for candidates on sessions that were agreed to by both parties. The Lying Left.

Maybe our limp wristed Republicans in the Senate realize that people do want judges confirmed?

“their empty chairs”?
Every time I tune into C-SPAN coverage of the House or Senate I just see one lonely person standing there blathering on to an empty room. All of the other chairs are empty.
What the hell do these people do all day anyway?

So far, Trump has quietly appointed about 10% of the federal judiciary. The
current vacancies list has 132 vacancies among 890 slots (15%). If the Republicans retain the Senate and fill all those slots, that will mean that by next year around 25% of federal judges will be Trump appointees.
Pro-life judges will be reluctant to find a reason to stop states from regulating abortions.

What “truce”?
You mean the one where Republicans (in the majority) do what the democrats want?
That’s not a truce.

Democrats want to add new justices to the Supreme Court - positions that have never existed - beyond ‘the nine’...
All Trump’s doing is filling vacancies so the Court system can function... big difference.
