Maybe not a lot of money in terms of the US budget, but to corrupt Latin American politicians living high on the hog on US taxpayer dollars, it’s quite a bit of money.
Interesting ‘Political’ fight shaping up here. Democrats will NOT allow cuts to the Aid budget, so Trump won’t sign the overall budget - then Trump calls out the troops because he has no budget to enforce the borders... What would a Judge say ???

The “Kavanaugh” hearings blew up on The Left (Democrats).
This “invasion” is going to be TWICE as much of an explosion as even Liberals that I know in and around Austin are telling me things like “this is very concerning” or “I don’t like this” or “I hope Trump can stop them”.
Democrats are too stupid to realize that they would help there larger cause MORE by joining with Trump to denounce this invasion.
Are we paying Mexico anything? Their people obviously don’t need it because they are feeding the caravan and giving them rides. Also. Think we need to make remittances over $500 a month illegal. I’m sick of them working off the books and paying no income taxes. We also need to see about stopping EIC until there are no more illegals taking money.

Do you realize that Israel is already the largest recipient of our foreign aid by a huge margin? And they deserve it. What other nation on the face of the Earth comes close to being the ally that Israel is?

Personally, I think we’ve seen simply too much talk and not enough action by President Trump. Last time he called to stop the organized caravan, turns out 97% were catched and released into the US. He’s drawn several red lines and they’ve come and gone without action. He’s getting a lot of news headlines but we see little action. I hope this round is different but I’m not hopeful. Will he really close the border, deploy troops, etc.? Why hasn’t he demanded McConnell and Ryan call Congress in emergency session to act? He seems happy with just beating up on Democrats, not fixing things for us. Pessimistic on the border issue, yes. All I ask is SHOW ME RESULTS. Show me the border is closed, show me that people are being deported in numbers that will remove them all from the US, not just a trickle here or there. If he were serious about removing illegal aliens from the US, we should be seeing as many as 25,000 illegal aliens deported EVERY DAY. We see, instead, a few hundred.

Direct and indirect aid to Mexico is hundreds of millions of dollars. Plus billions of dollars of individual remittances by illegal aliens. Put a stop to all!
Cut it to ZERO - then start with trade sanctions...
If you were one of the group of corrupt politicians that pocket the lions share of that $500M, you'd think it was a lot of money.
Use the $$$$$$ for an electric fence on border....
