Not really. We have never had a POTUS in U.S. history that didn’t have the support of his own party. Trump’s power is greatly limited due to the fact that the GOP won’t support his flanks in his battles against rampaging Democrats. We are in uncharted territory here.
Teargas, rubber bullets, shock grenades are deployed as the first line of defense. The second line is real bullets, back up by tanks and RPGs.

I don't necessarily disagree with you but I would guess that when the mobs approach the one’s primarily out front (in full view of the camera's) will suddenly have become women, babies, and young children. I can only hope that Trump has plenty of operatives in the caravan feeding back info with which they will make their plans.
I would like to see the borders closed down to one lane per crossing with military backup to prevent rushes of the gate. Traffic would back up to Guatemala.

Indeed. We should be deploying all of our non-lethal arsenal. We have the ability to make every single one of these invaders crap their pants at will, among other things. Why the heck don't we pull this stuff out? The taxpayer funded its development. Apparently it was only designed to be used against American Citizens who might have the audacity to stand up to the kleptocrats that run our government.

It’s pretty clear to me that the financiers behind this event are trying to use these people as cannon fodder to set up a 21st Century “Kent State” scenario at our southern border.
They must be denied that “victory prize” in any feasible way. ideally Mexico will be quietly strong-armed into dealing with the whole mess internally; perhaps with a little U.S. black ops, uhhh, “assistance.”
ALMOST everyone from the south goes back to the south. The one’s that don’t — well, nobody knows anything about them; perhaps they fell off a flatbed someplace out in the Mexican boonies, or didn’t get back on after that last photo op. ;-)

I don’t disagree with you. But they will have plenty of notice prior to reaching our border. If the men of their invasion want to hide behind the skirts of their women, then all the more reason to not allow them entrance in this great country. If the women are more than willing to storm the border without their “men” taking the lead then, they get what they deserve.
Having the women and children out front in this situation is the same as the men in the Muslim countries using their hospitals, mosaics as well as women and children as their protection.

Options for Trump.
1. Tighten the security to the border now! Activate the military to assist in closing our border, every single crossing. No one in, no one out. Give a 48-hour notice for people to decide which side of the border they want to be one when this happens.
2. Blow up any bridges at the border prior to their arrival. Once again advance notice to those on the other side to prevent any unnecessary injury or death.
3. Stop all U.S. aid to any country involved.
4. Pull all of our ambassadors, close our embassies. Close their embassies and consulates here. No need for further communication with countries aiding an abetting this invasive force.
I don't want our military strafing and killing innocent illegal civilians (bad guys notwithstanding). However, there are other means of horde/riot control. Think rubber/foam bullets/ tear gas cannons/ water cannons/ now microwave tech, and more non-lethal deterrents. SWAT forces have many such deterrents. Just a matter of having enough federalized National Guard in place with orders to open fire at will.
Executive Order #1 to National Guard. One foot across the border and they get a rubber bullet or bean bag or pepper-sprayed or if enough microwave machines, they get the heat of an oven in their face. All that will turn them back and bleeding hearts will have little to say. Just a matter of man-power.
I'm also good with regular Army. I don't believe "posse comitatus" would apply on our border. It would have nothing to do with the US military enforcing laws on US citizens.

Like it. Between that and cutting of aid to Central America, this shit would come to a screeching halt. Some say that those countries would then round up and place those migrants in interment camps. Guess what? I don't care.

The Mexican government should be encouraged to shut down the logistics train of the invading army. No food, water or transportation would bring this to a halt in one day.
Establish check points. Give everyone an id card. You have to show it to get water. Anyone who’s location is closer to Honduras today than yesterday gets water. Anyone who is walking toward Texas doesn’t.
