So once again, researchers are discovering that biblical principles actually work in real life.

"...love and marriage..."
Dating someone and being together without a marriage certificate is very probably the purest form of love. When either member can exit whenever they wish...yet they choose to happily remain together...that is a rather powerful statement of sincere dedication.

Yeah, wives hate it when the bed gets that crowded.

God, through the Apostle Paul, was exactly correct. When we join sexually to a person there is a union. When that union is casual and then discarded, you’re essentially discarding a part of yourself, like cutting off an arm.

I think the definition of “happiness” needs be be reiterated and reaffirmed here.
It is NOT feelings of good times. I know a lot of partiers, and their facebook accounts are full of photos of them at the bars, smiling with their bazillion “friends.” Most of these people are decidedly not happy.

Didn’t Blaza Ford boast of 50+ partners before college?

Yea, you might want to read your bible a bit more....
There are a lot of folks with Multiple Wives to be found in there.
To: DeweyCA
Yup, works for me. One wife for 40+ years, no fooling around on either of our parts, and still going strong.
The example of the father is the key:
My dad had 2 wives, with the first one having passed away. From all the family history, he never succumbed to temptation outside of marriage. I honor him, and my Spiritual Father by following Gods design. It's a lot less stressful too...

...........so, sl*tty women are less likely to be happily married. That makes sense.
.....and then there’s the “innocent and virginal” Christine Ballsy Ford, who as a teenager bragged about having 54 different sex partners before she started college.
Ewwww Bleh Yuck
I suspect she contracted MANY STD’s and had several abortions during those years.

With regards to making pronouncements and conclusions about others based on alleged experiences of documented polygynists such as david, bathsheba, etc., we are also explicitly admonished by jesus not to judge lest we be judged ourselves (matt. 7). This explicit command of jesus trumps any paradox-laden inferences.

My wife and I have only had one sex partner. Each other. Saved each other for marriage. We have 25 years together and are both very happy. Its rare, but good marriages do exist.

Does this include self love?
