I guess you will find out now. The House investigations into anything Trump does. Calling cabinet/agency heads to testify about anything that goes on. Asking for millions of documents constantly. Russia collusion investigations from the Deep State this time...Nunes will be completely powerless. Demanding Trump’s tax returns, impeachment hearings. Hearings to determine if Trump’s businesses are breaking the law no matter how obscure and this is in the first month. I think you will be able to tell the difference.

The good news is, Romney won’t have any allies in the Senate, he’d better go along with Trump, or else.

Scott Walker of Wisconsin may be added to that loser’s list.
We don’t know yet. He’s running for re-election as Governor.
At the moment, it’s tied about 49% to 49%.
Scott served his main purpose years ago when he broke the power of the local Labor Unions and resisted being recalled.
Since then, he seems to have run out of steam.

Recall how quickly Walker gave up his presidential campaign back in 2015. Most politicians have a certain window of opportunity where they can almost do no wrong. Some clever one’s take full advantage of that moment. Others, such as Chris Christie and maybe Scotty Walker wait too long, then the window closes. Everything becomes harder once that golden moment has ended.

Ryan and McConnell, safe at last, safe at last, safe at last...

Now they don’t have to face implementing any of Trump’s policy.

Of course Ryan is gone, but McConnell has nothing to worry about now. He can sit on his hands and claim he can’t help it, now that the House is in the Democrat’s hands.

What a cluster f—k!

Trump’s first term is over. No wall, not vote to get taxes permanently raised. We won’t get Planned Parenthood defunded.

Nice work Mitch. Nice work Paul.

Go —— yourselves!

Absolutely true. Ryan’s loss strengthens Republicans in the House. This is going to be great fun, poking Democrat House leadership in the eye at every opportunity.

Trump was elected on border control and infrastructure. Paul Ryan blocked both.

“Paul Ruan never wanted that job in the first place”

So I guess you bought his spin.

FROM ANOTHER THREAD and FREEPER willk:

First midterm election for new President:

Clinton 1994

House -54
Senate -8

Obama 2010

House -63
Senate -6

Trump 2018

House -30 (roughly)
Senate +4 or +5”

Obama and Clinton didn’t have to deal with 40 anti-Trumpers retiring. Otherwise Trump would have probably maintained the house too.

Ryan AND Kevin McCarthy, and the rest of the GOP leadership. They all need to be fired and put in Jim Jordan and his crew.

There is no border wall only because of Ryan and McCarthy.

They also increased the budget, year after year. Under Bush, Obama, and Trump. Now they are gonna play cut spending??

#20: "Trump will spend the next 2 years stuffing the courts with conservatives."

Good point. That may be the most important takeaway from tonight. Collins and Murkowski can't showboat anymore. No more drama queens.

Dems will be more willing for infrastructure spending. That will happen. We just have to keep the eyes on amnesty crazy talk.
