Might see at least four more House seats from California: Denham, Kim, Walters and Rohrabacher, if that old hippie Rohrabacher holds the lead. It’s close.

“One real downside of a Democrat majority House, by the way, is that immigration reform won’t happen”

Nothing will change. There were never 60 votes in the senate to pass immigration reform.

The democrats gained nothing. The same things that they could obstruct before they can obstruct now.

“It can be 55/45 or even 56/44 in the Senate.”

Clark County Nevada just started reporting. Looks like Heller is going down...

“There’s only been 5 times in the last 105 years that an incumbent President has won seats in the Senate in the off year election. Mr. Trump has magic about him. This guy has magic coming out of his ears. He is an astonishing vote getter & campaigner. The Republicans are........
unbelievably lucky to have him and I’m just awed at how well they’ve done. It’s all the Trump magic - Trump is the magic man. Incredible, he’s got the entire media against him, attacking him every day, and he pulls out these enormous wins.” Ben Stein, “The Capitalist Code”

I like optimism. POTUS focused more on the senate and governor's races. I think by his comment the other day that he would “deal with a house loss” he knew the numbers were just too far against the republicans to keep the house.
but he sure did stop a trouncing.

Here is the official analysis:
We got what we needed.
Thank you, Patriots!
Senate means everything.
Think Judges (SC) & Cabinet.
DECLAS overrides all potential House blockades.
POTUS has ultimate authority.
Shift to Senate Judiciary (oversight) from House to now occur (stronger position and held in reserve for this scenario).
Lower chamber (House) used as 2-year starter.
Upper chamber (Senate) will be used next 2-year closer.
https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/about/jurisdiction
Military planned.
No impact re: ongoing investigations
Team is stronger [PRO].

What people forget, or never figured out, is that these RINOs may say what their focus committee tells them what we want to hear with the cameras are rolling, but once those shut down, they drop to their knees to please the dems.

They *were* d in r clothing.

It’d be good to have those seats, of course, but those seats were never really ours in the first place.

Trump is going to be fighting impeachment proceedings for the next two years.

Not a time to say “We won!”

But it could have been much worse.

As I see it, the only major (and preventable) blip for President Trump tonight was Kris Kobach defeat in his race for Governor of Kansas. With hindsight, President Trump should probably have advised Kobach to not run at all so the incumbent GOP Governor could run (and win). Sad really. Outside of that, President Trump’s record on yesterday’s elections was just awesome.

fighting impeachment my ass..they have no power to do anything. and POTUS isn’t going to worry about that.

and if they go on an impeachment tangent they will lose in two years.

Am impeachment by The House is of no value whatsoever, without 67 votes in the US Senate. Good luck getting 67 Democratic votes when they have only 44/45 seats in The US Senate.

we did okay though. THINK about what the left including INTERNATIONAL media has thrown at POTUS, including some in the Republican party (SEE FLAKE AND RYAN)

The fact he added to the senate and made it more conservative is amazing.
The house due to redistricting and the R's that retired, many of whom did it with the intention of throwing the house (Never Trumpers) the numbers were just not there for us to maintain the majority.

The dems house majority is not great and in the end with DJT in the WH and the senate even stronger they are still relegated to shrill attacks.

What makes that any different than it has been for the last two years?

Conservative Republicans need to clean “house” at every political level. Get rid of the dead wood (some got ousted for not campaign effectively, if at all) and bring in a new generation of fighters.

The Dems managed to get some Iraq/Afghan vets who made inroads into Republican seats in the House. The GOP had a couple, at least one who won big, Jones. However, they have to recruit more veterans who will fight as hard against the Marxist Left as they did against Saddam, ISIS, and the Taliban/Al Qaeda. Same principles - destroy the enemy.

JUST AS IMPORTANT is the role of Republican House Minority staff in terms of countering the hardcore leftists and psychos who now will control the House - Pelosi, Waters, Schiff (a great target because he’s such a lying ahole), and others.

My friends were on the House Internal Security Committee, in the Minority, but they produced separate reports on several hearings which included information that the Dem-controlled Majority left out (for various reasons). Their Minority Reports were just as effective in exposing extremist groups (mainly communist) as were the Majority Reports.

By putting out “parallel” but better reports, the Minority on a Committee can cripple the Democratic majority, esp. if they have good, competent journalists on their distribution list.

Perhaps the Republican Majority can reestablish the Senate Subcommittee on Internal Security in its original home, the Senate Judiciary Committee, while not stepping on any jurisdictional toes of the Sen. committees on Terrorism, etc.

I know how this worked as I gave 4 testimonies before both Subcommittee and full committees (SISS, HFAC, HASC, and HIRC), did a study for SISS, and a prepared statement/report for a House Ways & Means Committee hearing.

I won’t succeed unless you plan your operations well, get great staff, and drive the Democrats batshit crazy with your hit and run tactics.

You are correct.

But the game is not to have the Senate impeach (though that is not as impossible as you think) but to tie up the media cycle till the 2020 elections.

Wall to wall dirty laundry on Trump. Wall to wall the ladies on the View saying “how horrible”.

And if Trump has any of those supposed sealed indictments, he had better go through them because the Dems are going to supenoa and indict anyone connected to him from here to forever.
